Koebz Single Launch - Your Theme Song 1 June 2025.jpg

After a two-year hiatus, Canberra’s genre-blending maestro Koebi Faumui is turning up the volume with his latest solo single, “Your Theme Song” a sly, cathartic roast for that person who’s never met a spotlight they didn’t steal. Witty, biting, and irresistibly catchy, this track is Koebi’s playful middle finger to narcissistic antics. Blending his signature mix of old school soul and futuristic electronica, it’s a reminder that not every anthem is a love letter sometimes, it’s the soundtrack to rolling your eyes and reclaiming the vibe.

Dropping June 1, this track is for the eye-rollers, the patient listeners, and the ones who’ve finally decided to turn their side-eye into a song that slaps. Koebi’s signature blend of wit and warmth transforms frustration into a groove you’ll want to blast on repeat.

Who is Koebi Faumui?

Born into a musical family, Koebi’s been crafting sounds since he was 8 years old. From performing with siblings as "The Faumuis" (15 albums deep!) to his soul-baring solo career including lockdown anthem “I Feel Like Shit” to the uplifting “Good People” Koebi’s music defies boxes. He’s a producer, teacher, and activist, weaving rock, hip-hop, folk, and electronic vibes into tracks that move you, literally and emotionally.

Koebi’s catalogue reflects his growth as an artist and advocate. Whether working with school kids, collaborating with a diversity of artists like Citizen Kay, Tony Rich, Archie Band, Lucy Sugerman and Timomatic, or mentoring young artists through "The Booyah Project", turning personal stories into powerful performances. “Your Theme Song” is Koebi at his most unfiltered, a little sass, a lot of groove, and a reminder that you don’t always have to play along.
